Built from a MIL-SPEC foundation with HP/MPI-tested and certified bolt and M16-style bolt carrier group with mid-length gas system and H buffer, the TAC3 performs reliably. Superior accuracy and performance come from the company's signature chrome-lined, cold hammer-forged barrel made from FN proprietary steel, fully free-floated within a Hodge Defense-designed wedge lock handguard. The rigid handguard, affixed with a proprietary barrel nut and anti-rotation technology, provides continues 12 oclock rail space and multiple M-LOK attachment points for lights, lasers and other accessories while minimizing deflection during hard use. Outfitted with ambidextrous charging handle and selector, and FNs custom 6-position buttstock, pistol grip and magazine, the FN 15 TAC3 is a streamlined, rugged carbine ready for any situation. This model comes with ambidextrous radians controls.
This pistol started its life in 1991 (Date Code NZ) at the Fabrique Nationale Herstal manufactureing facility in Belgium, and was then sent to Viana, Portugal for final assembly and test firing. Finding this pistol in this date rage in this condition has been a long process, but we only wanted the very best Hi-Power pistols for this project. It came to us new in the box condition, with a perfect barrel, as did all of the pistols we used for the project. These are just exceptional examples and the highest quality of the Browing Hi-Power manufactured during their exceptionally long production life, from 1935-2018, the second longest produced pistol in history, only being outdone by the Colt 1911. We started this project off trying to collect several of the finest examples of modern Hi-Power Pistols we could find. That took about 6 months, and about another 12 months to have the custom work done at NightHawk. They performed the following work on each of these pistols for us, to our exacting expectations, using the same gun smith for each of these guns, Master Gun Smith Steven Cox. Nighthawk decided back in early 2015 not to try to re-invent the perfect double stack, but to improve upon the Browning Hi Power. This classic design offers perfect balance, size and fire power, with an impressive 13/15 round magazine capacity. We took one of the most revered pistols of all time and made it better. This Chester County Armory listing is for an extremely rare, fully select fire version of a Heckler & Koch MR223A3 5.56mm NATO transferable machine gun. This model started it's life being imported into the United States as a rare 14.5" HK semi-automatic pistol. The RAL8000 finish was done by Heckler and Koch, themselves, and is not an aftermarket finish. A transferable SWD Lightning Link was then installed by famed Lightning Link specialist John Ciszek of JEC Enterprises. John is known throughout the industry as "The Lightning Link Guy" because of extraordinary work making these custom setups run absolutely flawlessly! His work on this gun is no exception, as it is now a fully select fire setup that runs just like it came from the HK factory that way! This incredible specimen also features the factory correct HK factory front and rear back up iron sights. It also features the correct RAL8000 matching HK furniture and comes with a current generation HK Gen 3 30rd magazine, also in the RAL8000 finish. The host pistol is being offered as new condition, having only been fired by JEC Enterprises during the installation and testing of the SWD Lightning Link. It does note some minor handling-type marks on the exposed section of the barrel in the parkerizaton (see photos) however this was the condition in which it was originally imported. This weapon setup is only being offered for sale complete, and will not be separated by us. This NFA registered SWD Lightning Link is fully transferable, currently on a Form 3. The HK MR223 acting as a host gun will transfer as a standard Title One pistol.
