The M1919 Browning was an American general purpose machine gun designed in 1919 by John Browning, as an air-cooled development of the earlier M1917 Browning. It was a belt fed machine gun, usually used mounted on a bipod or tripod. During World War II, it fired .30 caliber rounds, and had a rate of fire of around 500 rounds per minute, with an effective range of over a kilometer. The original Scout rifles were manufactured by the Austrian Steyr Arms, but this realistic replica from ActionSportGames and Modify is perfect to bring the piece to airsoft matches. This re-creation brings the Scout rifle’s unique properties to airsoft fields. The rifle is made from CNC-machined aluminum and steel parts, with further nylon and polymer reinforcement and attachments. This gives the rifle a realistic feel and weight. The outside appearance is a true-to-life copy of the original rifle design, down to the spare magazine storage in the back of the stock. In order to behave like a sniper rifle, the Steyr Scout has flip-up front and rear sights, although most users will upgrade to custom sights on the Pic rail on the barrel. The rifle comes with a foldable bipod design near the front of the barrel to facilitate proper handling and positioning. The nylon polymer stock has an attachment point for bipod rails should users want a customized solution. Upgraded straight from the factory, this rifle can compete and outmatch most customized sniper rifle builds with minimal effort and add-ons. The factory upgrades include an upgraded M140 spring system, which can hold an M190 spring without any adjustments necessary. The rifle also has 60-degree Modify Predator hop-up bucking to make full use of the enhanced hop-up.
