Here for your consideration is an all original Colt Model 639 the commercial version of the XM177E2 a hard to find variant of the full auto M16 family. The Military issued these iconic weapons to the MACVSOG special operation units in Vietnam in1967 and 1968. They feature a 11.5 inch barrel ,forward assist, two position aluminum collapsing stock. This model also came with a Colt manufactured Moderator which served to change the sound signature when fired . Because of this the BATF considers the moderator as a suppressor as such this gun will require two NFA transfer tax stamps. Both the gun and moderator will transfer on a form 4 in Pa. These do not come around very often they are scarce and very few where made by Colt for the commercial market. Condition: Overall appearance and finish is pristine. Bore and bolt are excellent . Serial #06P0217, 12 ga. (3"), 28" VR barrels with excellent, bright bores. This is a Huglu-made, extractor-equipped, double trigger shotgun that exhibits very little use and retains practically all of the original blue finish along the barrels. The frame, likewise, has virtually all of its original chromed finish with some dulled and darkened spots on either side of the forend iron where it meets the frame. The checkered walnut forend and rounded pistol grip are in excellent shape as well with only a few minor spots of wear on a few of the raised areas and some scratches on the buttstock. This pistol started its life in 1991 (Date Code NZ) at the Fabrique Nationale Herstal manufactureing facility in Belgium, and was then sent to Viana, Portugal for final assembly and test firing. Finding this pistol in this date rage in this condition has been a long process, but we only wanted the very best Hi-Power pistols for this project. It came to us new in the box condition, with a perfect barrel, as did all of the pistols we used for the project. These are just exceptional examples and the highest quality of the Browing Hi-Power manufactured during their exceptionally long production life, from 1935-2018, the second longest produced pistol in history, only being outdone by the Colt 1911. We started this project off trying to collect several of the finest examples of modern Hi-Power Pistols we could find. That took about 6 months, and about another 12 months to have the custom work done at NightHawk. They performed the following work on each of these pistols for us, to our exacting expectations, using the same gun smith for each of these guns, Master Gun Smith Steven Cox. Nighthawk decided back in early 2015 not to try to re-invent the perfect double stack, but to improve upon the Browning Hi Power.
