37" Rolling Evil Eye Cane Sword With Skeletal Hand Handle. In the 18th century the cane replaced the sword as an essential part of a gentleman's attire. While the cane was used as a walking stick it could also be used as a sword, or contain hidden compartments for alcohol or a firearm. The great men of the last two centuries have carried canes, from Sherlock Holmes, to Gregory House and of course Scrooge McDuck. Every Gentleman Requires a Cane. This cane is not a substitute for a medical walking device. The cane shaft has been constructed from steel with a black glossy finish. Hidden inside of the black metal shaft is a 12” hidden blade made of stainless steel, which can be accessed by unscrewing the handle. The bottom of the cane features a tough rubber gripper. This is one solid wooden construction sword from top to bottom. The cross-guard is a stylized cat's head, with two triangles on the top half curving into ear-points and the bottom half tapering down into a single point. The blade is made from wood, painted in silver followed by the wooden handle wrapped with nylon cord. The scabbard is all wood with a black high gloss lacquer finish with a brown bull horn knot. American Civil War era hand-made cavalry sword. The 34.25 inch blade is crafted from thick high quality steel to replicate the saber and is 4mm thick. It has a factory edge and has been mirror polished down to perfection. The Seal of the United States has been engraved into the blade, along with the designs representing the pride and courage of those who fought for their heritage. On one side of the blade, the words E Pluribus Unum are engraved, and the other side has U. S. engraved into the steel. The handle is wrapped in black leather and features the authentic wound wire that is traditionally expected on a sword of this caliber.
